Feelings of Blue

Sometimes I feel blue or sad. When I feel sad and blue, I sometimes don’t know what to do to recover from my state of mind. Sometimes when I think it is getting better, all of a sudden I feel sad and blue again. At times, I feel aches and pains, which I cannot explain. I visit my doctor and discuss the aches and pains; yet no apparent explanation is, found. During the day hours I often feel fatigue, or worn out. Sometimes I feel like I want to sleep until I cannot sleep anymore, and other times I want to stay awake as long as I can. At times I want to binge eat, while other times I don’t care if I eat at all. My diet plans are fluctuating and I don’t know what to do.

Some days I feel extremely depressed and entertainment, activities or other favorites are no longer of interest. Sometimes my stomach hurts or feels tension when I have no explanation why. I often endure headaches, which only adds to my stress. At times, I even feel dizzy. Sometimes I make indecisive decisions, which causes me to do things I ordinary would not do. At times, I feel empty and hopeless. Most times I feel overwhelmed, loaded down with stress, and anxious. I often have difficulty focusing and often feel stressed out when I have to make decisions. The feeling of guilt is often overwhelming, which makes me feel worthless. Many days I feel irritable and often feel restless. This brings stress at high volumes, which sometimes make me feel like dying. Thus, I begin thinking suicidal thoughts.

If you experience these types of problems, you might find comfort in knowing that help is available to you. Counselors, doctors, and medicines are available that has proven to help many. You may also find comfort in knowing that millions of people just like you are suffering depression.

Some of the common problems that cause depression include financial burdens, family or friend loss from death, new parenthood, marriage, divorce, changes in environment or life it self. With the ongoing wars is it any wonder people are feeling depressed. What can you do?

First, you must realize that emotions, the heart, behaviors, habits, thinking patterns, or chemical imbalances play a part in depression. For instance, if someone dies in the family you often experience grief for a short time, which is natural. However, if the grief spreads out and continues, thus it could lead to major spurts of depression, which only hinders your life. You must realize that you have no control over death. Once a person is gone, he or she is resting peacefully. The person is free of world problems. Thinking positive or seeing the upside of death can help you to realize that life has replacements and rewarding offers.

Wars can cause surmounting stress. When you think of wars, you often wonder when another attack will occur. Realize, that you have no control over wars, i.e. unless you start protesting, thus change what you can and leave alone what you cannot change.

Financial burdens are common. All of us go through days when we struggle to pay bills. Many solutions are available, which can help you find a way out of debt. I encourage you to start digging to help you find a solution. Resourceful minds rarely experience depression.
