Depression has hit us all at one time in our life. Some people are able to manage and conquer the depression as it hits, while others struggle to leave the depressive symptoms behind. Interpersonal strategies in therapy focus on various aspects and are often a short-term therapeutic strategy that relates to the connections between influences or people. During this type of treatment, the counselor will focus on influences that possibly link to the depressive symptoms of the patient. In other words, the counselor will consider family, friends, and relationships to decide if possibly, links exist in the patients thinking patterns and/or behaviors. The goal is to improve the patient’s interactions or separate the patient from influences that will cause them harm. Thus, the therapeutic strategy can help build social relations, emotions, communications, expressions, and the like. Sometimes group therapy is, recommended to help promote social relations.
