Unfortunately, learning to practice techniques of stress-reduction is not taught in our schools or in our colleges. And ironically enough, it is our experiences throughout attending these schools and colleges that are some of the very sources of stress that we feel throughout time.

Stress not only contains the ability to destroy the quality of our lives both mentally and emotionally, but stress can cause a number of serious physical disorders that are associated with recurrent stress and chronic stress. Shyness; almost everyone has been a victim of it at one point or another. Research has shown that men go through more of it that women do. On a subtle level, the shy person is an introvert and a little reserved. On the more drastic level, why people a constant feeling of insecurity and fear around other people that is so overwhelming they often stay home and avoid the social scene altogether.

First let me start off by making it crystal clear that just because you have a form of agoraphobia (fear based) and are extremely fearful of what would be considered “normal” situations that does not mean that you are abnormal in any way. The personality that has the propensity for severe anxiety is a very likable and creative one and it is a personality with enormous strengths.

The people who develop severe fearful reactions and panic attacks have been categorized as an agoraphobic. In searching for the answers to why this condition exists and why they are so overcome with fear to the point of vomiting and pain, we often spend our entire lives simply avoiding people and places that bring on panic attacks while ignoring searching for the core of the problem.

The emotion of anger is not always a negative feeling to experience. In fact, being angry in some ways can be a positive outlet and something that should not be ignored. However, having rage inside that results in harmful tendencies towards yourself or other people, and from which the source is painful experience, is not healthy at all. This type of anger should be dealt with before it escalates into more negative experiences.

It is not uncommon for people who have agoraphobia (which results in severe panic attacks) to make their homes a personal refuge point. Their homes become the only safe haven where they will feel at peace or at least slightly less worried of having an anxiety attack than being out and about in the outside world.
